Each year at the University we welcome a significant number of students who disclose a disability. Advisers are available to discuss the challenges you face, and to make receommendations for adjustemtns to support you while you are at University.
Students who access support say it is invaluable and equips them with the skills and support which they need to succeed in their studies.
Disability Advisers and Mental Health Advisers are available to discuss your support needs.
We are able to deliver services in person, remotely via Teams or Zoom or through phone conversations. All of our advisers and counsellors are well equipped to work online, without compromising on the quality of the support we offer.

If you have a disability it is strongly recommended that you make contact with an Adviser when you register at the University, although you can contact them at any time during your studies.
They can complete a Study Needs Agreement (SNA) identifying the adjustments and support that will be made for you as a disabled student.

Alongside our inhouse wellbeing team we have a Student Assistance Programme, called PAM Wellness, where you can access in-the-moment confidential support or guidance. Just call 0808 196 3533 - it's free, confidential and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
PAM Wellness counsellors are there to listen to you whatever your problem, whether it is personal or student-related.
You can also contact the telephone helpline if you require any financial, legal or medical information, such as advice on budgets, physical health or landlord issues. And if English is not your first langauage, let the counsellor know when you call and they'll be able to assist you.
