The Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Office helps the University to become a more inclusive and fairer place, where staff and students feel valued, respected, and can be themselves.
What services does the team offer students?
The EDI Office can support students with matters in relation to age, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
Examples include but are not limited to:
- Support and advice for pregnant students, Trans and non-binary students, and students who identify as LGBTQ+.
- Advice on bullying, harassment, and discrimination cases through our Dignity and Respect Advisers or Report + Support
- Advice and signposting for sexual violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment.
- Support with reporting a Hate Crime
- Support and advice in relation to the Equality Act 2010 and your rights.
- Guidance and information concerning the Gender-Neutral Toilets on campus.
- Guidance and information in relation to the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower.
