Using the Space
- LRCs provide a warm place to study with microwaves to heat food and water fountains to refill your water bottles.
- PCs and Macs are available for use 24/7 free of charge.
- Free Wi-Fi and power sockets for charging your devices are available in LRCs.
- £5 print credit is provided at the start of each term.
Accessing Resources
- Lean Library browser extension helps you save time searching and accessing journal articles when off-campus. It’s easy to use and free to download.
- Large eBook/eJournal collection is freely accessible to all students.
- Chromebooks are available to borrow for use anywhere on campus at no charge. Longer-term PC loans are also available for extended borrowing periods. See our Computer Loans page for more information.
- Interlibrary loans: Borrow whole books or digitised copies of articles/book chapters without charge.
- Free Microsoft Office 365 account and LinkedIn Learning account for the duration of your studies.
- Adobe Creative Campus offers free access to Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Express, along with exclusive learning activities and events.
- No late fines for correctly returned items—this reduces extra costs.

- The LRC Security team is available 24/7 for any concerns during your visit.
Support
- Student Success provides support and technology for students in need.
- Digital and Library Skills training/assistance is freely available to all students in the Study Success Hub.
Off-Campus Services
- Access the Online Library and Lean Library for remote resources.
- Libby app provides access to eBooks and audiobooks for free.
- Remote desktop access provides access to specialist software in our technology suites, available from anywhere, without paying for a licence.
