Safeguarding – children on campus

Guidance on child safety and support

We understand that there will be occasions when your childcare is unavailable and you're struggling to attend your class that day. Children are unfortunately not allowed in lectures, classes, tutorials or any University space unless permission has been obtained and an appropriate risk assessment has been conducted.

We have put together below information in the hope that this will be helpful in accessing childcare and other useful information for parents and carers. If you are unable to attend your class, please let your lecturer or programme leader know so that they can advise you about how you can access the taught material.

Your personal tutor can also advise you if you feel that your circumstances are having an ongoing impact on your ability to study.
