Exam timetables & future exam sessions

How to access your own personal exam timetable and where to find dates of future exam sessions.

You will need to use your Personal Exam Timetable to find your allocated room and seat number. Remember to check it up until the day of your exam to ensure there have been no changes to dates, times or locations.

When viewing your personal exam timetable, if you do not see an exam you are expecting to sit please contact exams@herts.ac.uk without delay for assistance.

Personal exam timetables are published four weeks ahead of the university's main exam sessions.

How to find your personal exam timetable

When available your personal exam timetable will be accessible via your Studynet homepage: How to access your personal timetable, Follow the link to timetables at the top of the page. Once on the timetables page a link to your personal exam timetable can be found at the foot of the page. To view your personal exam timetable from off-campus or on-site using the WiFi you will need to use the Secure Access Service (VPN). Please note the Exams and Awards Office will not confirm individual students exam dates/times and cannot provide technical support.
 
If you have technical difficulties accessing StudyNet, setting up/using the VPN or viewing the timetable please contact the Library and Computer Services HelpDesk.
 

Students with a Study Needs Agreement

If you have a study needs agreement you are likely to be in an alternative room. Please ensure you check your timetable fully, as an example, M136, M142 and M144 are computer rooms. N206A, N206B, M133 and M139 are small group rooms.

On the day of the exam

Make sure that you are familiar with the rules and regulations around exams.

Ensure you bring your student ID card and any stationery you need for your exam, this needs to be in a clear pencil case. 

Ensure you are familiar with the policy on smart devices in exams

Please make sure that you leave plenty of time to get to your exam. Student parking is available on College Lane campus and at the Park and Ride. There is no parking available to students on the De Havilland Campus, unless you have a valid Extenuating Circumstances permit – more information is on our Parking at Herts page.

You should be outside the room at least half an hour before the exam start time. If you are late, for any reason, you will not be allowed to sit the exam. 

Calculators in exams

You can only use a University approved calculator in an examination, please check the approved list before your exam. 

Dates of future exam sessions: 

2024/2025

Semester A examinations:  Monday 13 January - Saturday 18 January 2025

Semester B examinations:  Monday 28 April - Friday 9 May 2025 (including Saturday 3 May)

Referred/Deferred examinations: Thursday 19 June - Friday 27 June 2025

Semester C examinations: Monday 1 September - Friday 5 September 2025
